Polish-Hungarian Friendship Day

2022.09.13

March 23 was established as the Polish-Hungarian Friendship Day. The declaration on its establishment was adopted in 2007 by decision of all members of the Hungarian Parliament and four days later the Polish Parliament also adopted the declaration by public acclamation.

The resolution was adopted in view of its historical roots, through the common features of Hungarian and Polish history, the many centuries of close friendship between the two peoples, and their cooperation on several levels and in several forums.
Even today, Polish-Hungarian friendship has many manifestations in both Poland and Hungary.

This friendship has an extraordinary dimension for the Ferenc Mádl Institute as well, which is manifested in several joint prestigious research projects: the Polish-Hungarian Research Platform and the Central European Professors’ Network.
