Absztrakt
Amint a fejezet rávilágított, Írországban mind a gyűlöletbeszédre (újabb kifejezéssel: gyűlölet-bűncselekményekre), mind pedig az online térben elkövetett zaklatásra
vonatkozó szabályozás jelentős változásokon megy át napjainkban, hiszen alig egy éve
lépett hatályba a zaklatásról, sérelmes kommunikációról és a kapcsolódó bűncselekményekről szóló törvény; két további törvénytervezet – a gyűlölet-bűncselekményekről,
illetve az online biztonságról szóló – pedig már a parlament előtt van. A fentiekből az is
kitűnt, hogy a jogalkotó csak több éven át tartó társadalmi konzultáció után kezdte meg
a jogszabályok tárgyalását, elegendő időt biztosítva ezzel a különböző szakmai és civil
szervezetek véleményének megismerésére.
